If you’re willing to let socialization go, why aren’t you willing to let go of embarrassment first? Im not trying to be dismissive or kick someone when they’re down. But ask yourself that question. People should feel embarrassed for bad choices they make. Embarrassment does serve a purpose. Stuttering is not a choice though, it shouldn’t be embarrassing. Of course we are all scarred from interacting with impatient assholes or pitying saps. Stuttering isn’t embarrassing, being ashamed of it serves us no purpose. It doesn’t make us better people to feel humiliated by it. We need social interaction. Please continue to seek positive human connections. There are people here who stutter and live social lives, its easier for some but possible for all of us. I urge you to keep pushing. I hope you feel better soon
