Success Story of Woman Who Overcame Her Lifelong Stutter During Adulthood. Could someone please help me find it? A few years ago I read the blog of a woman who recounted how she overcame her life long stutter. I tried, but I'm having difficulty locating that blog. My memory is a little fuzzy, some some of the details below might be inaccurate. She was a woman from Eastern Europe. She started stuttering at a very young age (maybe 5 or 7). In her blog she kept referring to her stutter as '' Her monster '' (that was the metaphor she used). Some time in her 20's, she got married and moved to America (I think Seattle). She then joined Toastmasters and began public speaking on a weekly basis.....despite being terrified of it, since her stutter was severe. She kept on practicing public speaking for a long time. She was a part of some support groups that encouraged her to talk. She said she learnt to openly stutter on stage and that got rid of her fear of embarrassment. After lots of practice like this, she said that her stutter became less severe and she was able to get a grip on it. By the time she was in her 30's, she said her stutter had completely gone, and that she hadn't stuttered in years. She also gave some motivational speeches at toastmasters. Has anyone here read this blog? I can't find it :(
