Going to a 'speech weekend' My speech therapist is organizing a speech weekend for all his patiënts (all pws) and he also invited me. There are going to be a lot of people with various degrees of stuttering and the goal is to practice out speech by doing specific workshops and practising public speaking with eachother. I have never really met other people who stutter so i'm curious about how this Will go. Normally i'm pretty nervous when meeting new people bc of my stuttering but this feels different because everyone there is or was a person who stutters. My therapist said this can really be an eye opener, especially for young people ( i'm 21) to meet other people my age who also stutter. Would you go on a weekend like this if you had the chance?
