Interactions with new people.

Interactions with new people. Earlier this morning, I was in the gym locker room back home ( came home from college) and this dude started talking to me and asked me where I study and what my major was. I was so afraid of stuttering that I said a school and major that was wrong but only because I could say those perfectly. I walked away so ashamed of myself that I couldn’t even bring myself to say my own school or major. Any advice would be so helpful.
