I'm really sorry that your family is harsh about your stutter. Some people just don't get it. I also had some awful presentations in school - childhood & in college. In high school I had to stop a presentation to ask the girls in the front row why they were laughing. I'll never forget how mad I was. I also had a teacher try to finish all my sentences during a presentation in college which really threw me off and made it so much worse. Then she gave me a C when I was a straight A student. Anyway, I'm an author and professional speaker now. Life is so weird. You can do it. You can do anything!
