In December, I had a medical procedure where I needed to lay prone in recovery room for 6 hrs. For first two, I was unable to call for help (bc of stutter) and nurse forgot to give me a buzzer. I just laid there, no bathroom, food, phone, etc. so I understand. The way to gain more control is slow, hard work, but very worth it. Try the ideas from podcast first - pills may help briefly, but can cause more problems too. And feel free to DM me w any other thoughts Also, some people don’t consider a stutter to be a disability - but that’s bc it impacts them very very differently. For some of us, it can definitely be “disabling” at times of our life.
