Stutter Disclosure ... And the Other Person Discloses Too! I'm a journalist (it's tough being one who stutters), and I have a phone call tomorrow with a new editor. After we confirmed the time of the call, I followed up with a "just so you know: I have a mild stutter when I speak on the phone. Let me know if anything I said was unclear and I'll happily repeat myself." They messaged back saying they have a stutter too! I'm so used to being the only one I know personally who stutters, so this felt really good! After years of trying to hide my stutter, I've been more active about disclosing it before speaking with colleges. Responses like this truly feel like magic ✨
