Did your Dad stutter when he was younger? Maybe he still does but is covert? If that's the case then he could be guilty about *giving you* his stutter. My Dad **hated** my stutter and it wasn't until later in life that I realised it likely came down to guilt. I hope you can talk to your Dad and ask him for support.
