I had to go get an x-ray or something (blood test maybe?), and after I had filled out the paperwork I was just chilling out in the small waiting room. This guy came in, checked in and all that stuff, and sat down near me. For some reason that I can't remember he starts talking to me. I was having *extremely* bad stuttering and fluency issues at the time, but hey, whatever. He too had a similar stuttering pattern, but I think his had to do with possible brain damage from a combat injury (he mentioned it to the nurse who checked him in) , whereas mine is just from delayed speech thanks to chronic ear infections when I was little. I hope he didn't think I was somehow making fun of him. I can't remember ever talking to someone with a stutter and it was this really bizarre but cool connection. Like, we both knew what was up and didn't get impatient with each other when we got stuck.
