I stutter a lot when speaking mandarin (native language), mainly when i'm too excited. I stutter a little less when speaking my home town dialect (very similar to mandarin, native too). The language certainly affects it, because all the sound that makes me sutter are consonants. My english is not good. It's probably because of this unfamiliarity, that I don't stutter when I speak English. All those difficult sounds are not difficult when i speak english. Instead, sometimes I can't get the first sentence out (partialy coz of social phobia), and then I get much better if I managed to get the first sentence out. (Or I'll just choose not to say...) Switching between these three languages makes it easier for me to finish a sentence, provided the other person can understand ...
