If you go to StutterTalk.com, you can find a reference list with professional speech and language pathologist in your area who are board certified in fluency from ASHA. Finding a board certified SLP close to where you live may be difficult because not many SLPs are board certified in fluency but this might be your best bet. From what I have heard about from my undergraduate experience as a future SLP, board certified SLPs in fluency are very well informed and helpful. But, this is not to say that an SLP that is not board certified in fluency can't help you. Obtaining board certification in fluency is somewhat difficult for SLPs so if an SLP is not board certified, that does not mean they are not qualified.
