I work as a computer engineer. We clientele for multiple companies and we have to fix technical issues with computers and provide a service. My job mainly includes receiving calls from external companies. When I first joined and I was on phone call training I was terrified. When I was on job and my telephone rang my heart would always start beating rapidly. Now 8 months later, there is no more heartbeat and surprisingly I enjoy taking calls and moderately look forward to them. My speech has vastly improved due to putting myself in a position where I constantly have to communicate.
