Your first paragraph sums up my experience as well. Although i went to a 9 month trade school it may have been different from a traditional 4 year experience, i never really felt i was being laughed at from people behind me or any of that crap many of us expierenced in highschool. Also the teachers dont really put you on the spot in a negative way like the reading outloud from a textbook, but a good teacher will still call on you to answer questions to make sure you're understanding.
