Hi man, I'm sorry you had to live through this, I too had peers laughing at me in high school, it truly is one of the worst feeling you can have. But, I will say this: don't give up, it gets better with age. Not the stutter, but the whole getting judged based on your stutter thing. And about your "friends", I don't think you should've considered them friends. What kind of friend laughs at his/her friend's suffering? You're way better off without them if you ask me. Plus, you'll find some new ones eventually I promise, and this time you'll know to look out for a negative attitude towards your stutter and be able to avoid these people. I wish you the best of luck with the future man. I swear to you, everything is gonna be alright. If you want to talk to other stutterers more often, you can join the discord server and strike up a conversation whenever you like. We'll have your back no matter what your struggle is. :)
