I got it from my GP, I described my symptoms of generalized anxiety. Xanax has a slower onset but is longer lasting, probably 4- 5 hrs. As far as effect, I don’t really “feel” anything, I just notice I’m not anxious. It’s hard to say if it helps my stuttering. I’m pretty fluent at this point in my life, but I still struggle with the anxiety related to being a life-long stutterer. If you’re an anxious stutterer, maybe it will help, but I agree that speech therapy and other supports are beneficial
