getting embarassed means that you're subconsciously afraid of being judged by others (as most PWS are). Your nervous system goes into 'freeze' mode when you're in speaking situations to keep you safe. This happens because it got trained over many years that speaking is 'scary'. So its doing its best to keep you safe by preventing you from speaking. Its a vicious cycle. You can research CBT for social anxiety, and start doing those exercises. They are meant for social anxiety, and very relevant to people with fear of stuttering/speaking. I guide fellow PWS on things that I did to overcome my fear of stuttering. If you'd like to talk with me, dm me. If not, you can look up my comments on this sub to get some idea. Best thing will be to find a therapist that specializes in cbt.
