There's a difference between talking about personal experience and then presenting a model of understanding. If you don't notice this, perhaps it would be a good idea to start being on the lookout for that sort of thing. :) - And of course there's also a difference between "hey I have a theory that..." and then a _scientific theory_. The former requires no training, but the latter most definitely does. Don't conflate the two. :)
