What I myself found is that saying the long version of my name is much easier than saying the nickname. Since my name is Nicholas and my nickname is Nik. I can normally say Nicholas much memory easily than I can say Nik. It's strange as in already saying Nick when I say Nicholas hahaha. But yeah, saying your own name normally is such a bitch.
