You can’t teach what they have no interest in learning. When we explain stuttering we talk about the effort it takes to thing about the mechanics of talking in addition to the content. Fluent people only think about the content. They don’t need to think about the letters, the sounds, or “tools”. They don’t need to worry about whether or not they’ll be understood. If they can’t get that, then I need to say they’re not trying hard. Do you have a support system in place? You need people in your life who “get it” and will wait 10 minutes if they need to to hear what you have to say. Your voice deserves to be heard. What you say is important. You are important.
