I disagree with this to an extent like yes I do substitute words that don't fit grammatically however I don't think that effects your intelligence at all. You may sound less intelligent but simply saying stuff wrong doesn't make you stupid. I've slowly been Trying to avoid substituting words bc 90% of the time it's grammatically wrong.
