So I have had conversations at least 1 other stranger who stuttered where I brought it up, and things were fine. However, I will give you two other stories. I was talking to this guy once, where, in my opinion, this man had a diagnosable stutter - no question. Ironically, I was at a stuttering event, but he was there with his adopted son, who stutters. So I was going to ask about his stutter, and he told me that someone at his job told him he stuttered and he says he doesn't stutter and has no idea why she would ever think that. I have a good friend who I've known for over 10 years . We have talked about personal things- including my stutter. I'd bet my last dollar she has a mild stutter. It's specifically a prolongation on m's and s's predominantly (and other sounds occasionally). But she never mentioned it to me. So either it's something else or she really doesn't believe she stutters. I always wanted to ask, but I dont want to give her a complex. I don't want to complicate your thoughts, but I've known people who sound like stutterers, but are not; or dont think so anyway
