Disclosing my stutter has made my professional life so much easier and way less stressful. I'd rather own it, be upfront about it and address it on my terms than feel like people are looking at me sideways and drawing their own erroneous conclusions Letting people know about my stutter instead of leaving them to fill in the blanks themselves has encouraged people to trust me with their own vulnerabilities and led to deeper connections that ultimately make life easier and more enjoyable. Disclosure isn't everyone's thing but it's been a tremendous help to me.
