I felt the exact same way when I was 16. I thought I’d never have a girlfriend (or friends, for that matter) and never be able to hold a job. I had really low self-worth. I had to learn how to love myself despite my stutter. It has been a lifelong process. I’m 38 now. Happily married for 11 years, father of an amazing toddler (who doesn’t stutter like dad does!) and surrounded by amazing friends. I have an awesome job that pays well (I’m a psychologist and work with kids). Life is good, and I still stutter. I promise ou that you’ll be okay. Your stutter is *not* your identity and you are *not* your disability.
