I’m 44 and have stuttered my whole life. Sometimes it almost completely goes away, sometimes for long periods of time, and sometimes I struggle with every word, sometimes for equally long periods of time. Many people told me my stutter would go away on its own, and I was very disappointed when it never did. I’m pretty sure my stutter will never go away. I can also rely on my stutter never staying the same. It will come and go and change and evolve. It will be something I struggle with to a greater or lesser extent for the rest of my life. I know that stuttering is very difficult as a young person, believe me. But it’s really not so bad as an adult. So many people have problems that are so much worse. I promise, it gets so so much easier
