Honestly accepting my stutter entirely (and after years of therapy, working my way through getting rid of the guilt/shame) has done wonders for my mental health. However, I don’t think I agree with the idea that there is something inherently wrong with us, as that forum quote says. Our speech is a part of us and the shame we feel makes everything ten times worse.
