I usually say I have a stutter, though when I refer to others or people in general, I will say a person or people who stutter. It's a mindset thing for me. Saying someone is a 'stutterer' can (at its extreme) dehumanize a person and define them as a stutter first and a person second. By saying someone is a person who stutters, they are first defined as a person. Maybe I take it too seriously, but I don't let my stutter define me and I don't want it to define others either.
