see, now, _that_ comment made a whole lot more sense than the others. here's nuance and detail, and a different angle on/frame for the merits of "toastmasters". i do wish you would've begun like that. seems to me there was a bunch of "omission" in the above. so now, it all boils down to what'll work for OP. a shame there's a financial issue in this case, with regards to therapy. i still think it's a shaky project to simply rehearse public speaking without at least a taste of stutter-specific therapy.
