There's a different level of pressure you're putting on yourself in those situations. When you're with your friends, you're relaxed, happy and at ease. But in the other situations, it sounds like you are pressuring yourself. Same case with me. My advice is to not sweat it. It sounds like you're coping well. You're in a new managerial role, and it brings new anxieties and fears. That's what happens to everyone. Give yourself some type to adapt. If you can talk to your friends with ease, then that same level of comfort/confidence can be applied to other situations with enough practice.
