I stuttered for 65 years and I'm now fully recovered. I sought psychotherapy for a lifelong major depression and while examining my childhood, I realized I’d been dealing with anger and resentment because of traumatic childhood abuse. After admitting my feelings and forgiving my parents, one day I discovered I no longer stuttered. My stuttering was emotionally caused. Stuttering can be caused by physical or emotional causes or both. At age 70, the one thing that made the difference in my speech was getting to the emotional cause. Since then I give zero attention to my speech. It's just naturally fluent. Never give up. Keep your speech techniques. Keep working on your fluency. Good luck to all my friends, Sue
