Does this SLP regularly work with stutterers and is certified in fluency disorders? Is their plan to *teach you how to control your stutter* (hopefully not)? One thing to know is that stuttering is the area where SLPs have the least amount of confidence to treat and it is much more difficult to treat than other speech disorders. Finding a therapist who understands stuttering and knows what they're doing is pretty critical imo. You can't just go to the first slp you find and expect results.
