Mine was fairly severe while growing up, went through years of speech therapy to get it under control. In my 20s it would happen maybe a dozen times a day. After I stopped caring what others thought about my stutter, my confidence went through the roof. I guess I felt like I was telling the same lie over and over again. You build this stress up in yourself and it makes stuttering worse. When you show the true side of yourself to someone, it’s not what you sold them initially.
