Yes, stutterers have some kind of misfiring in the brain, so they are as neurodivergent as ADHD or autistic people. I think the difference is their "difference" is much harder to ignore at the surface level, whereas a fair number of autistic people (especially females) learn how to pass so well they don't get help at school or from professionals. Stuttering isn't something you can hide or "pass" at, so that might be why its harder for society to deal with us.
