Just had some small talk with a neighbor I’m (17M) and I just had some small talk with a woman (35F) while she was walking her dog. When she walked over and talked to me I felt confidence and I smiled. Usually with small talk I’m really nervous and jittery, but today it was different. We talked about regular neighbor stuff and I didn’t stutter that much. She probably didn’t even notice the times I stuttered. Overall a confidence boosting experience. TLDR: When speaking to people, smile more. It naturally lessens the nerves and you feel more confident when you smile
