Willing to help out fellow stutterers (by a Stuttering Veteran) Hello my dear Stutterati (we can now call ourselves a secret society, trust me, we earned it), After stuttering my way through a good 20 years of my life I have developed some really helpful tricks over the time, thanks to some really humiliating and soul crushing incidents, which I would now like to share here (I recently joined reddit). I would like to warn beforehand that these are not magical solutions that make your stutter go away in a jiffy, but are instead some minor adjustments and exercises you can do regularly to keep your stutter to a minimum and get some flow into your speech. We go through a lot of embarrassment and inner conflict every single day of our life and very few people actually understand our mental and emotional state when we do something we can't really control or stop. All I can say is that this is a part of us, it always has been and will continue to be, so don't try to take it out of you and make yourself miserable. Make it your friend, be patient and forgiving when it occurs, and do your part to help it hide itself in the inner sanctum. I'm posting this poll to see if people are even interested before I go ahead and spend a good part of my day jotting down everything I do to keep it from slipping out [View Poll](https://www.reddit.com/poll/109l4qg)
