Ok, I want to talk about my experience with it. So I got one of these about 15 or so years ago, the in-ear model. The function it sets out to do works well. It reduces my stutter by about 80%. So for that I have to give high praise. HOWEVER it was overall a terrible experience for me. With the device in, EVERYTHING in that particular ear becomes mickey mouse sounding, including other people. Combining a very high pitched voice with a few millisecond delay from the other ear causes you to become essentially deaf in that ear. I would constantly have to turn my "good" ear to focus on the conversation, loud places like bars were impossible to focus on. I wore it about 6 months until I was sick of the thing and haven't worn it since I learned, for my own experience and use, that being deaf was a much worse experience than my stutter ever gave me. In fact it helped me come to terms with my stutter and accept it as a part of myself better than 16 years of speech therapy ever did.
