I’m 95% stuttering free. I have never had social anxiety but knowing I may occasionally stutter is demoralizing nevertheless. After a mild-moderate stutter for most of my 70 years, 6 years ago I amazingly found myself totally fluent! About 8 months ago I began mild blocks again. This scared me to death because I had had zero occurrences of blocks or repetitions. Recently I will occasionally stutter. It has nothing to do with anxiety or expecting to stutter or social anxiety. I am just grateful now to be 95% fluent. If that’s the best I can do, it will have to be enough. I just have to own the condition that I might stutter occasionally.
