I had a day today I've been a reddit follower for some time but haven't yet posted... Until today. *also - I'm on mobile, I apologize for the format* First things first, I've stuttered for as long as I can remember. I'm now a single parent in my late twenties, I work full time and live a mostly functional life. Although, my mum still makes the majority of my phone calls for me. Anyway - I work at the local animal control. It's great for me because I just get along better with animals than humans. That's cool. But we have a weekly shopping trip to Walmart that needs to be done in order to keep things running. While in the check out with a full cart(9 bleach, 6 laundry detergent and fucking 13 giant dawn dish soaps), a woman asks if I work for a cleaning service. I response with, "no, I uhm, uhm, uhm..." After about the third, "uhm" the woman responded with the loudest, most obnoxious, " HAH". Usually I can laugh these things off but today wasn't one of those days. I'm always working to just give zero fucks about my speech... But sometimes, it seems that I care a lot more than I'd like to. Anyway, for those have not seen this video yet. I'm sharing it with you. It's called, "stammering and creativity". I love it and go back to it often because I feel reassured to know that I'm not crazy and it feels good to know that there are others who have and continue to view the world in the same way as I do. https://youtu.be/qeGqMAjTU-U
