I would love to read your posts about research. If you will dive deeper in this area someday! I myself think that there are different sites in the brain that can cause stuttering, in other words.. I think that developmental stuttering has different types of stuttering (e.g., impairment in internal speech motor timing cues, disruption in initiating speech motor plans, inactive motor execution, physiological sympathetic arousal). In my understanding, SLP speech techniques seem to make these underlying most primal deficits worse in regards to easy stuttering (controlled) versus subconscious fluency.
