Does anyone else get treated like they’re a child because of their stutter?

Does anyone else get treated like they’re a child because of their stutter? I’m 17 and while I don’t get teased a lot about my stutter, many people treat me like I’m 12 and my communication skills are non existent. It drives me crazy. Does anyone experience this?
