I think the best thing to do for this would be easy onset. It's a speech strategy used for vowels. Basically what you have to do is pronounce the sound softly. If you stutter on the "in" part of "initial," chances are you are really stressing the sound. Putting too much emphasis on it, and holding a lot of tension in your speech-related muscles. Instead, try to make sure your muscles are relaxed. Don't emphasize the sound, "barely" pronounce it, you should not feel the tension of the muscles engaging.
