Yup, I've definitely been there. Talking to some people is exhausting sometimes. I'd rather just keep my mouth shut at times, and that's okay, you're allowed to do that. You don't have to engage in conversation ALL THE TIME. However, you also have to realize that the stutter is just a part of who you are. It's not going to magically go away. So, with that in mind, try to contribute to the conversation if even a little bit sometimes. I find that when I don't talk to others for a while, my speech noticeably suffers. When I'm constantly speaking on a daily basis, I still stutter, but definitely not as much. So, if nothing else, look at it as good practice.
