Proper medical care and parents who were stable financially. As a child it especially sucks to not get the help you need because of mentally unstable parents who constantly quit their jobs. This meant no steady healthcare or any speech therapy besides what my school offered. My parents were so focused on just basic survival, they just kinda forgot about everything else. It wasn’t until I was an adult to where I was also diagnosed with ADHD as well which makes everything make so much sense. Apparently, teachers were hinting to my parents about that but my mom is easily insulted over anything. I can also see why my parents themselves have so many issues. Honestly, if you stutter I would do research on ADHD. They go hand in hand in terms of being nuero-divergent. They are commonly associated with one another. Some studies even suggest that 50 percent of people who stutter have ADHD.
