Experiences of stutter at work - Invitation to participate in an interview-based research study Hello everybody, First of all, please do let me know whether posts like this are okay. I have not found anything in the subreddit rules. I am a Postgraduate student studying for a MSc in Organizational Psychology. Part of my studies involves completing a research project. The purpose of my research project is to investigate and understand the workplace experiences of people with stutter/stammer, and how this condition may have an impact on their work. As someone who stutters, this is an important issue for me to research and give voice to within academia and the society. This research will have implications for organizations, employers, employees, and the wider public. Specifically, it will encapsulate real-life experiences of people who stutter/stammer and may contribute towards overcoming discrimination and give voice to those who have been affected by stutter at work. I would like to talk to individuals with a *minimum of two years of work experience in full-time positions who have a stutter/stammer and who are prepared to talk about its impact (or not) on their work.* I am interested in the experiences and stories of your stutter. Due to the current global situation, this will be done through a short, written piece about your experience of stutter and shared electronically. This will be followed by an option to join an interview. It would take place online via conferencing software i.e. Zoom. It would take between 40 and 90 minutes and would be recorded. All responses of the participants, identifying information, names of people mentioned, and other sensitive details will be kept confidential and completely anonymised on the transcripts that will be made after the interview. The participation in this research is entirely voluntary and the participants have absolute right withdraw from the study at any time until the stage of data analysis.
