Mine were the same. They never understood or got me speech therapy. It took until the age of 70 for me to become fluent. I had an abusive childhood and by dealing with it in psychotherapy, I became fully fluent. I never even considered a career, though I completed university because I didn't think I could compete professionally. Your parents have no idea what you're going through. Do your best to show them your good intentions. Maybe a job you could do online from where you live. Be strong.
