There are days where I feel like I'm fighting for every word. I just have to push through. The good news is that best practices right now place the teacher more in the role of facilitator than dispenser of knowledge, so it's not like I'm talking bell-to-bell. Still, when I'm having a rough time, simply acknowledging it to the students can be helpful. It takes pressure off of me and drains the tension from the room. I've never had a student try to use my speech against me.
