That's good advice! I remember when I was around 15, my speech had become really good. My friends told me that I didn't stutter anymore. I have videos of myself taken by my friends from back then, and after hearing them again....it seems like my stutter was 95% gone back then. I was talking smoothly for the most part, but there were some rare occassions where I stuttered on one word and it was very brief. I didn't really think of stuttering that much back then. Even if I did think of it, I paid no importance to it. I think that is the key. As you said, you should not think about it. But it's really hard to unsee when you see it. That's what I'm struggling with right now. It's the classic elephant problem in psychology. If someone tells you to not think of an elephant....you're going to have a hard time accomplishing that lol.
