I hate it when food places require you to say your name, but you just got to deal with it. Sometimes if they notice my stutter, they'll look at my name on my credit card and get it that way. This is how I prefer it. But other times they don't notice and I can sometimes get my name out relatively smoothly but other times I'll just tell them to get it off my credit card. I realize this is "avoiding" but sometimes it is just easier.
