Thiamin Experiences Hey all, so periodically I've experimented with supplementing with vitamin B1 also known as thiamin. My first experience with it was in my early 20s and for hours after supplementing with it, my speech blocks completely evaporated. However after the first month this effect wore off. I wrote it off as something that didn't work until I heard about it again 10 years later. I tried it a second time and its like I had another fresh go with it. My speech became flawless. And this time it took about two months to lose its effect because I was splitting my dosage up throughout the day. But now at month 3 I can't say it helps no matter what I do. I want to go back to how I am when I first begin taking thiamin. There must be something with my brain chemistry that gets fixed when I take thiamin, but then over time something else goes out of whack and I just don't know what that is. Does anyone know what I can do to find success with this long term? To me it is clear my stutter is a brain chemistry problem and not psychological. There must be something im deficient in. I appreciate all of your thoughts. The only other supplement I take with B1 is magnesium. I just had a meeting at work where I completely froze up and I'm still reeling from that experience and its what has prompted me to make this thread in hopes someone else has found anything that can give me some relief from my speech blocks.
