Dealing With The Way I Express Myself

Dealing With The Way I Express Myself I have to learn to express myself with the words I want to express myself with. Doing this will allow me to stop using emotional speaking terms I see others use as a dictionary of terms I can pull into my life without understanding the meaning behind why those terms suit the way those people use it. My theory is that everyone has their own style of emotionally speaking that they developed over years of talking to people, which make them good or bad at connecting with people they meet. For a very long portion of my life I’ve been using emotional speaking terms I’ve heard other use as a means of connecting with people without understanding why those phrases would suit me. I’m planning on making a list of every emotional speaking term people give out and see where I want that emotional speak to a line within my life, rephrase it to something that has meaning to me, and practice using it. Example: One emotional speaking term I’ve used, but never understood why I give out so many people is, “how are you doing”. I’ve never really cared for the term because it never gaves out the detailed response I want from people I care about. The goal of using a term like this for me would be to bring out something ( haven’t thought of what I want it to do for myself in full yet). I’ve also given out the term to people I’ve just meet and don’t care much for yet, but that’s only because I hear others use it when greeting others. To change the way I use this term in my life I could rephrase it into the words that suit my forte when speaking to people I rock with and people I just meet, once I can think of what this term does for me. Lastly, I can put it into practice when I feel like using it. Hope this makes sense.
