My parents sent me to hypnotherapy when I was younger for my stuttering. This was before I went to actual speech therapy. I personally didn't find it very helpful as a kid as far as I can remember it but I wouldn't let that sway any desisions you make going into it. I was young and more just excited that the guy was gonna do the whole "swinging a pocket watch" thing so I didn't go I to it with the best mindset. I feel like if I had been older and gone in for it I definately would have had a better response to it. Try it out if you have the resources! Much like any therapy you have to go into it with the mindset of trying to make it improve you and don't expect it to be a sudden cure all.
